How has the NEC website changed?

Please bear in mind - most of the links on the old pages will not work!

1999 - Announcing Alternatives 2000*

7/27/05 - A few changes made to the links.

Note the garish yellow bar at the top that links to a "Low Graphics Site".  This "Bobby" version of the website was intended to satisfy Section 508 rules on accessibility.  By using CSS and valid HTML, we were able to eliminate this section of the site.

For kicks, click on print preview (in IE you click on file | print preview) to see how the article would be printed.   Note that it's using 3 or 4 pages, and will print the navigation bar on the left as well as the color banner at the top.  Depending on how your printer is set up, you may be missing the whole right side of the text.

Current Article - After converting to the new site design.

Now do a print preview - it will print on three pages, in black and white, with no navigation or banner, and it has changed from San Serif to Serif font which is easier to read in print.

* The graphic image for the "Links" button was destroyed, so I replaced it with the "Events" button which actually came along later.
